A few weeks ago McDonald's decided to try a newer type of advertising: a corn-maze advertising a new coffee product.
I'm not sure if marketing that product was the wisest thing to do, given the decline in expensive coffee purchases (like with Starbucks). However, the idea behind it was quite interesting and innovative.
The lesson we can take from it is this: when there are millions of ads out there competing for your desired customers attention, do something different!
Just do a google or askjeeves search to find out more about it.

Spiderweb Marketing - A Fraud?
Hello,
Today I'd like to talk to you about the Spiderweb Marketing System.
Spiderweb Marketing System is an absolutely free system that gives you access to tons of different affiliate programs - for free. When I first took a look at this, I was extremely skeptical, but I decided to keep researching.
I found out that Spiderweb Marketing generates income for you in 22 different streams. Basically they just want you to sign up (free) for different things like a Firefox browser and Google Adwords, and then you collect comissions when others join under you. The reason it can be free is simple: Spiderweb Marketing is just a middleman for 22 other companies. Those companies are the ones that will pay you, not Spiderweb.
The business blogs had mixed opinions on Spiderweb. Some peole said it was great because it was risk-free - not to mention monetary-investment-free! Others say that it's not as good as it's cracked up to be, especially because there's no actual educational aspect. These are, of course, just a few of the more professional opinions I read, and not by any means an entire introduction.
My advice is this: check it out and see what you think. You have nothing to lose.

Free Internet Marketing E-Book With Good Introductory Information
For those who are interested in doing a more internet-based marketing plan, versus the older styles, I suggest reading a lot about the new technology that is available to you today. Here is a free e-book that I recommend reading for some great introductory information:

Changes in the Company
I've just received word from my upline that some changes have been made in the company.
The most important change was a move to create two companies out of JD Premium Products. As many of you might already know from reading my previous posts, JD Premium premium products is a company that sells a variety of products, including beef jerky, supplements, home care products, and more. Originally this company was called Jerky Direct; at the very beginning it sold only jerky. Because of the popularity among JD's distributors, the CEO and his staff decided to revive that original Jerky Direct idea while still keeping the modern JD Premium Products.
So here's what you need to know: if you're interested in a simple, no-hassle company that can help you make some extra money, Jerky Direct is for you. And if you're interested in putting in a little extra time and earning perhaps a little bit more money by selling a wider variety of products, JD Premium Products is for you. Or, if you're really interested, you can do both!
This does not mean that the two companies completely split, necessarily. I believe this is simply the terminology used by the CEO and his staff. One could think of it more as two entirely seperate programs under the same leadership.

What Most Network Marketers Don't Realize
A question I pondered when I first began researching network marketing was this: why is there a 97% drop-out rate for new distributors in the industry?
I did some research on the subject, and the reason that I found for this is quite simple. The truth is, most people go into network marketing trying to buy a hope or a get-rich-quick idea. Most people don't realize that building a network marketing company takes time, effort, and desire!
Time is one of the aspects that makes the network marketing industry what it is. Since there is no set schedule of when a distributor must work, he or she is able to work on his or her own time. This has been a very important attraction point for thousands of network marketers.
This is absolutely true: you can work as much or as little as you want in this industry. However, don't expect to become a millionaire in less than a year if you only put in an hour or two a week! So many network marketers think that just because they go through the training, read the books, and get signed up with a reputable company, that they'll start rolling in cash within a few weeks. This is not true. What you get out of your network marketing business will almost always directly depend - at least for the first year or so - on the amount of time and effort you put into it each and every day.
This is not to say that a network marketer can't work just an hour or two a week. In fact, this is what works really well for some people. But again, just don't expect to make millions right away.
Many of today's readers may not be familiar with Napoleon Hill. He was a speaker and a writer who did his greatest work before and during the Great Depression. Although his material might be called "outdated" by some, his concept of desire will remain true forever.
Mr. Hill says that if we have a strong enough desire for something (that is, if we want it so badly that our minds, hearts, and daily actions are literally consumed by the will to achieve the goal), your mind will transmute that desire into what you want. There are literally entire volumes written on the subject of desire, but this, I feel, is the essential core of the information.
The truth contained in the preceeding paragraph is of utmost importance. Any network marketer who believes badly enough in what he wants can achieve it!
Armed with the three tools of time, effort, and desire (all implemented in the right way), every network marketer who reads this article can be part of that successful 3%. I feel that anyone, regardless of his or her situation in life, can become the next success story.

JD Premium Products Introduction
Hello everyone,
Today I'd like to give you some more basic information on the company.
JD Premium Products (formerly Jerky Direct) first started out selling only beef jerky, but it has since expanded to sell such things as household cleaning products, skin care products, and more.
There were three things that immediately attracted me to JD: ZERO cost to enroll, the ability to truly start a business on my own time, and JD's perfect age.
1) ZERO COST TO ENROLL - This is perhaps the most important aspect of the company. Most - if not almost all - of the other network marketing companies in the industry require that you pay a fee to get into the company, and then you are forced to pay fees each month after that. With JD, I loved the fact that it was FREE TO SIGN UP. At first I thought there might be strings attached to this, but I found out that there aren't! The only requirement is that you buy $12 worth of product each month, and that really isn't much. Actually, that's an amount you could consume on your own!
With zero cost to enroll, I feel that JD provides a great opportunity to try out a company without the fear of getting financially involved in a venture that will not be beneficial to you as a business owner.
2) THE ABILITY TO TRULY START A BUSINESS ON MY OWN TIME - This was also extremely important to me. Because you're only required to buy $12 worth of product each month, it is easy to do very little work during the month if you happen to be busy sometimes. Naturally, though, if you want to work harder, you can order as much product as you want, and do the extra work. Since I, like most people, have other responsibilities in addition to my company, this was quite attractive to me.
3) JD'S AGE - Any experienced network marketer has heard that a majority of network marketing companies fail within the first three years. So you don't want to get involved with those companies, right? On the other hand, you also don't want to get involved with a company that has been around so long that there are no opportunities left for the new guy! That's why JD is perfect: it's been around for about 4 or 5 years, so it's well past the three-year mark, but there are still PLENTY of opportunities for newcomers.
On top of these three reasons, anyone who has searched JD's name on Google, the BBB website, or in the business blogs will know that their record is stainless. They are a reputable company that truly is interested in helping the common person succeed in their own business.
